Preservation of Animal Welfare and Safety (PAWS) is a no-kill animal rescue and spay/neuter program. They celebrate their 25th year serving Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, & York Counties!
A free program for spaying and neutering of feral and stray cats. In exchange for the service, callers must commit to providing permanent shelter, fresh food, and fresh water for the animals. Animals must be at least six months of age and receive Rabies and Distemper vaccinations, treatment for parasites, post-operative antibiotic, ear cleaning and tipping, and minor first aid. Those testing positive for FIV or FeLV are not returned. This program serves Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York Counties. Clinics are planned for Mechanicsburg, Carlisle, Chambersburg, Gettysburg, Lancaster, Lebanon, Dover, Hanover, & Harrisburg in 2007. **Donations for these services are requested.

Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance (CPAA) is a non-profit "no kill" organization composed of more than 50 rescues, shelters, & organizations working together to end killings, educating the public, & networking.
CPAA also has a spay/neuter van which serves the Harrisburg area doing shots, spaying, & neutering.
